The Associate Product Manager is part of a team that will support the market and business success of our communication technologies. You will have a keen eye for gaps in consumer product offerings and the innovative mindset to fill them. The Associate Product Manager must research market trends and provide competitive analysis that articulates priority of tactics into product strategy, expected value, business growth and direct results. You are a highly skilled market analyst with an aptitude to strategize the full lifecycle of product production — from initial concept, launch, maintenance and end-of-life cycle. To be successful, you will have a balance of interest in customer interaction with a technical mind and curiosity.


• Partner with Product Manager to develop strong understanding of competitive environment and market position

• Complete market research to identify trends in consumer needs, preferences, buying behaviors, or problems that may be solved by product evolution or offerings

• Contribute to roadmap and establish clear product vision to address incremental product evolution and product specific development

• Assist internal teams to design and develop superior and differentiated products that deliver and meet consumer market requirements

• Build a business case for projects that forecast costs, revenues and ROI associated with new products or product strategy

• Collaborate with Product Manager and marketing team to develop promotional strategies for new products

• Co-conduct market tests to obtain accurate consumer feedback for products and packaging

• Provide new product and services training to Sales team and customers

• Conduct research and put together data to assist with managing product line portfolio, SKU rationalization, and gross margin improvements

• Translate product strategy into detailed product design requirements for product development by engineering teams to be reviewed by Product Manager

• Assist marketing with tradeshow design, coordination, set-up and tear down of tradeshow booths

• Attend tradeshows, both industry and parallel industries, to gain Voice of Customer, competitor information and information on new technologies

• Oversee the content creation process for user manuals, quick start guides, etc

• Provide support to internal and external teams on product and competitor information

• Assist with Engineering Chang Order activities

• Participate in Product Advisory Council events and help create content and record information


• Bachelor/Associate degree in Marketing, Engineering, Business or Product Design or relevant experience • Technical mindset with strong attention to detail

• Ability to research and write up findings

• Exceptional writing and editing skills combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills

• Willing to continue to learn and develop skills required to advance in roles and responsibilities

• Able to travel up to 10% not including tradeshow travel time


• Knowledge of audio and/or video market

• Product knowledge consisting of mechanical, electrical, software components
