The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining quality standards for manufacturing processes, products and systems. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement efforts.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Quality Inspector, Quality Intern
Responsibilities:
• Review design plans, audit processes and test procedures for inspections and testing of PCBs following IPC standards for
electronics to ensure manufacturing and assembly meet quality standards and regulatory requirements
• Support product development and operations team by providing analysis and expertise throughout inspection process
• Identify root causes of problems and analyze data to identify trends in product quality and processes; recommend and/or implements corrective measures
• Analyze data to identify trends in product quality and provide action for product modification if necessary
• Assess and qualify new suppliers and monitor performance to ensure quality standards are met
• Maintain accurate quality records, reports, work instructions and standard operating procedures
• Provide work direction and performance management of quality inspector, quality intern and other quality support staff as needed
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline
• 3 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with IPC standards for IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-600
• Extensive knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes
Physical Requirement
This position is continuously sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time with occasional bending, stooping and kneeling.
Simple and firm grasping and fine manipulating of the hands to operate a soldering iron, needle nose pliers, clippers and other tooling and testing equipment is needed to perform the functions of this position. Good visual skills for up close work. Requires moderate lifting of up to 25-50 lbs.
