Ovation™ 1880 Amplifier

OA-50-1800

The Ovation™ 1880 is a classroom audio amplifier designed for regions requiring the 1.88–1.90 GHz DECT frequency band, including Europe, Australia/New Zealand, the Middle East, and parts of Asia and Africa.

The amplifier combines a wireless receiver, mixer, and 50-watt amplifier into a single, easy-to-install device. It drives up to four speakers to provide consistent speech intelligibility for every learner. To support modern instruction, it uses Video Conference Sync with EchoGuard™ to prevent audio feedback loops during hybrid learning sessions.

The Ovation 1880 serves as the audio hub of the classroom, featuring four line-level AV media inputs and seamless integration with assistive listening, paging, fire alarms, and security alert systems.

Works with Ovation wireless pendent and handheld mics available separately and in systems.

Features

The Ovation™ OA-50-1880 is the central audio hub for modern classrooms worldwide operating in the 1.88–1.90 GHz DECT band for use in Europe, Australia/New Zealand, the Middle East, and parts of Asia and Africa. By combining a wireless DECT microphone receiver, multi-channel audio mixer, and powerful 50-watt amplifier into one compact unit, the Ovation 1880 delivers clear, intelligible sound that keeps learners engaged and ensures teachers are effortlessly heard in any instructional environment.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Noise-Free Multimedia with Anti-Hum. Keep classroom media distraction-free. The Ovation 1880 includes a dedicated computer audio input with switchable Anti-Hum isolation, eliminating ground-loop buzz when charging laptops and delivering clean, high-quality audio for lessons and presentations.
  • Hybrid Learning Ready with EchoGuard™. Support in-room and remote learners with confidence. Video Conference Sync with EchoGuard™ prevents audio feedback loops by stopping remote voices from being re-captured by classroom microphones. The result: smooth, intelligible, two-way communication for hybrid instruction.
  • Integrated Safety & Paging. The system integrates with school communication and safety protocols by automatically muting audio inputs during Fire Alarms and Pages. Paging announcements also pass through to the Assistive Listening System (ALS) output so every student receives important information. The Ovation 1880 additionally supports teacher-initiated security alerts via an Ovation wireless pendant microphone.
  • Crystal-Clear, Wireless DECT Audio. Engineered for international DECT standards, the OA-50-1880 operates on the interference-resistant 88–1.90 GHz band for stable wireless microphone performance. Digital Feedback Guard (DFG) reduces unwanted feedback, while the 50-watt amplifier powers up to four speakers for evenly distributed, high-intelligibility classroom audio.
  • Total Control & Classroom Connectivity. The Ovation 1880 supports diverse instructional technologies with four line-level inputs for interactive displays, computers, and media devices. RS-232 compatibility enables third-party control integration. Wireless microphones feature Auto-Reconnect, automatically restoring connection if the teacher briefly moves out of range.
