Returns Made Easy

1)  Call:  Please contact our Product Service Department at 800-843-3544 to request a Return Authorization (RA) Number and shipping instructions. 

 

2)  Send it:  Choose your preferred carrier to return the equipment to Williams AV. Clearly mark the RA number on the outside of the package; this will help us return the equipment to you sooner.  Prepay the shipping charges (no freight collect shipments will be accepted). Remember that items can become damaged in shipping. We will not be responsible for such damage. Please pack your items carefully. 

Warranty Repairs
It is our goal to complete repairs within five business days (larger quantities may need extra time). If the product you are returning to us is under warranty, please provide a copy of the invoice. The warranty period starts from the date of sale. If the date of sale cannot be established, the date of manufacture will be used as the effective date of the warranty. We will repair or, at our option, replace any part or product that proves defective in materials or workmanship during the warranty period. The warranty does not extend to deliberate or accidental physical damage, neglect, misuse, or to products that we deem to be abused. Unauthorized repairs, use of our products with power supplies not verified by Williams AV, LLC, or modifications will void the warranty. The length of warranty is found on the warranty card included with the product. Accessory items (earphones, headphones, microphones, etc.) have a 90-day warranty.
Specific Warranty Exclusion
Our products are not warranted for use in corrosive or chemically adverse environments. Specifically, damage due to moisture that can occur in health club-type settings, or any other chemically corrosive environment, i.e. corroded batteries due to sweat, salt. Damage due to these causes will VOID the product warranty.
Out-of-warranty Repairs

Warranty Period 
The warranty period begins on the date of sale. Please provide a copy of the original invoice or proof of purchase. If the sale date cannot be established, the warranty period will start from the date of manufacture.  

Out-of-Warranty Repairs 
Items are out of the warranty, We offer limited repairs for out-of-warranty or discontinued products, subject to parts availability and repair feasibility.  

Diagnostic Testing Fee (Effective May 1, 2024) 
A Diagnostic Testing Fee will be charged for each out-of-warranty item. This fee must be paid before work begins. Additional repair costs will be quoted for approval before work begins. In some cases, the diagnostic fee may cover the total repair cost if labor and component charges are minimal. 

Fees (In USD) 

  • Tier 1 Diagnostic Fee – $50.00  

Covers diagnosis, testing and basic repairs of handheld devices, parts under $5.00, and 20 minutes of technician labor.  

Product Examples: Digi-Wave DLT 400 transceiver, Digi-Wave DLR 400 RCH receiver, Pocketalker (part numbers PKT D1, PKT Ultra, PKT 2.0), FM handheld transmitters and receivers, and induction loop receivers (PPA R37, PPA R38, PLR BP1, and PPA T46.)  

  • Tier 2 Diagnostic Fee – $150.00 
    Covers the diagnosis, testing and basic repairs of transmitters and rack-mounted server units, parts under $10, and 60 minutes of technician labor.  

Product Examples: FM transmitters (T55C, PPA T27), WaveCAST products (WF T5C, WF T8), SoundPlus products (IR M1, IR T1, IR T2) IC-2, Digi-Loop products (DL107, DL207, DL210) DWD 401. 

Out-of-Warranty Repair Return Shipping Charges: 

  • US Ground (Standard Shipping). 
  • Up to 5 lbs: $20.00 
  • 5-20 lbs:  $30.00 
  • 20+ lbs: Quoted on a case-by-case  
  • International shipments quoted case-by-case. 

Note: Repair rates DO NOT cover accessory replacement costs. (e.g., earphone, headset, microphone, neckloop, charger, antenna, or power supply.) 

Returns for Credit
Items returned for credit, in like-new condition with complete packaging, will be issued a full credit (minus batteries and original shipping charges). Items returned for credit after 30 days are subject to a 20% restocking fee. We are unable to issue credit for merchandise after 90 days from the date of purchase. Additional fees or refusal of credit may occur due to missing or damaged equipment.
Standard Service Rates

Out-of-warranty repairs will be charged a diagnostic fee, and any additional charges will be quoted at the time of repair.

Shipping Charges for non-warranty repairs

Ground (Standard Shipping) (Up to 5 lbs) = $20.00, (5-20 lbs) = $30.00, (20+ lbs) = Check with factory for shipping rates.
