Williams Sound to sponsor Walk4Hearing 5K in Minneapolis

Eden Prairie, Minn. — September 19, 2011 — Williams Sound, a global designer and manufacturer of wireless listening technology located in Eden Prairie, Minn., is pleased to announce its sponsorship of the 2011 Walk4Hearing in Minneapolis. This 5K walk will take place on Saturday, October 1, 2011, at Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis.

The Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) launched the Walk4Hearing in 2006, a nationwide walk in six cities to increase awareness among the general public about hearing loss. Their ongoing goals: to have hearing loss recognized as a health issue; minimize the stigma associated with wearing hearing aids, cochlear implants, and assistive technology; raise funds to expand services and programs for people with hearing loss and their families; and empower the HLAA state organizations and chapters to do more local outreach.

Paul Ingebrigtsen, President and CEO of Williams Sound says, “Williams Sound is very proud to be a sponsor of HLAA’s 2011 Walk4Hearing, the first of its kind in Minneapolis. The Hearing Loss Association of America is a powerful voice for the millions of Americans who have hearing loss, and Williams Sound is especially honored to support such a worthwhile event right here in our own community.”
